2017 Interim Budget
Each year the Town of Drayton Valley prepares an Interim Budget that must be passed by December 31st. Passing an Interim Budget is part of Municipal Government Act (MGA) for municipalities in the Province of Alberta.

Property Tax is divided into three parts:
General Municipal Tax Rate- This rate is set by the Town of Drayton Valley and this portion of your property taxes is used to fund municipal services and programs for Drayton Valley residents.
Education Requisition- This rate is set by the Alberta School Foundation on behalf of the Alberta Government and this portion of your property taxes is directed to the Province to provide educational services.
Seniors Requisition- This rate is set by the Seniors Foundation and this portion of your property taxes is directed to operate local seniors housing facilities.
