Whether you’re interested in a paddle down the North Saskatchewan River or a scenic hiking experience along its banks, the Eagle Point Provincial Park and Blue Rapids Recreation Area has an activity waiting for outdoor enthusiasts no matter the season!
With over 120 km of managed trails, the Park System boasts the perfect destination to get away for the day or weekend and recharge. Offering outdoor educational programs and activities for the communities of Brazeau County and Drayton Valley, the Parks Council also works in partnership with other recreational clubs to offer a variety of outdoor experiences including ATVing, cross-country skiing, archery, horseback riding, and target shooting. The Eagle Point – Blue Rapids Parks Council represents a unique partnership between the Government of Alberta and the local community, who work hand-in-hand on the planning, management and funding of the Eagle Point Provincial Park and Blue Rapids Provincial Recreation Area. Local stakeholders, the Town of Drayton Valley and Brazeau County, along with industry, recreation and environmental organizations are involved in decisions on how the Eagle Point – Blue Rapids Park System will meet the needs of Albertans.
