What is Participatory Budgeting?
Participatory Budgeting is the democratic process where community members directly recommend how to allocate this part of the Automated Traffic Enforcement(ATE) Funds. Up to 10% of the net municipal from ATE shall be designated for Participatory Budgeting.
Participatory Budgeting has been used in North America from coast to coast from New York City to San Francisco. It has also been used in Canadian cities like Toronto, Montreal, Guelph and Vancouver.
